Lulworth - Dorset

As you will know the water in Lulworth is really rather hard. Also the water pressure can be very high so when we fit a water Softner we make sure the equipment is specified correctly. 

We could show a great picture of the installation but I felt that Lulworth Castle was much more photogenic this morning.

A Hague 7180 was the solution, large salt container, 28mm pipe connection, amazing flow rates, built in self cleaning filter and the most effecient water softener in its class.

We found ourselves in Weymouth today fitting a water Softener for a customer who had been struggling with hard water ruining his bathroom and washing machine. 

We found ourselves in need of an extension lead- don't ask.

Today has been a Hague day. Two lucky customers have just had installed our super effecient Hague Maximizers. 

These amazing single cylinder machines have a built in self cleaning filter, take block salt or tablet but best of all they nibble the salt and hardly use any water. Cheapest on their class to run.

We got called to an old autotrol which had seen better days.

Unfortunately the kitchen fitter had built it in and the only way was to cut it out. At the same time we removed all of the old assortment of pipe work and hoses and replaced them in a correct manner​

All copper and with the correct bypass.  

One thing we keep seeing is water Softeners connected with washing machine hoses. These should not be used as most are not lined correctly for drinking water.

A Little Bit of Help

We had a great day installing a water softener. It was an unusual install which meant we needed to thread two new 22mm pipes under the floor. This can always be tricky but the owner had already opened access panels. Thanks.

Here is a very old unit fitted in a customers garage.  

The customer was expecting us to recommended a new unit. After a clean and service we found the machine to be delivering nearly soft water.  

We explained our findings and the customer was delighted as the house had become to big for him and he was planning on down sizing.

Block salt machine?

This poor customer called us out to what she thought was a non electric twin cylinder block salt machine. 

Unfortunately it's just a traditional machine with block salt. Less efficiency  and not what she wanted or thought that she had paid for.

After a good service and putting some settings in correctly we got it going.
