Having had a bathroom suite installed and seeing how over the previous years the hard water had discoloured, stained the bath, plus surrounding tiles etc, which was always a losing battle to keep clean. Plus the continuing battle with the shower head being caked up with scale so much so that sometimes without descaling first you couldn't take a shower as the water flow was so weak. These things are now history with the installation of the water softener. My main concern on having the water softener installed was water pressure, as our shower is fed from the mains which is on the 2nd floor of the house so any drop in pressure would have been disastrous. Dorset water softeners assured me that this would not be an issue and so it has proved to be. Dorset water softeners I believe are a small family firm who give great personal service, very professional, prompt and friendly. This is bit cliche but after only 2 months since installation and seeing the benefits I wish I had the water softener installed many, many years ago.
